About a month or so ago I found myself browsing through the Christmas category on Pinterest (follow me here), searching for some festive baking ideas when I came across a few Christmas-themed brownie recipes, each with a different decorative design on top. It was then I knew I just had to bake these cute little Christmas trees and write a whole post on them. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did creating them!

INGREDIENTS
Chocolate brownie mix
Vanilla icing
Green food colouring
Candy canes
Decorative, edible candies

METHOD
Bake your brownie batch and allow to cool completely before cutting into small triangular shapes. Then add a drop or two of the food colouring to your icing mix until you've reached your desired shade of green, then pop mixture into a piping bag and pipe. I've chosen to do some with icing all over and some with a squiggle down the middle. Next is the fun part, decorating! Do whatever you feel like, I've thrown on a few mini rainbow chocolates and metallic balls to act as baubles.

Okay so even though these are a bit of a fail due to the fact I forgot what shape an isosceles triangle was, they still ended up looking pretty cute and very festive - I reckon these would be awesome for a children's party.
